Latent apathy made worse

Fri Mar 11, 2005, 5:45 AM
I sick to death of working so hard for nothing. NOTHING.

Senioritis hits you the worse when you're a goddamn overachiever.

Agh! I've succumbed!

I admit it! I caved!

I decided that I'm going to go to prom.

I feel like I should be ashamed - especially after having sworn up and down since ninth grade that I would just as soon spend the night dangling upside down above a vat of acid - but I'm not.

Devious Journal Entry

Today's been one of those days when lots of little things go wrong, but I feel sufficiently detached to say, "This is stupid," and move on.

Gawd, these days are rare. And I love them.

My Clubs

Who'd have thunk it?

W00t! Nick just bought me a one-month subscription as part of a Valentine's Day gift. :glomp: It surprised the hell out of me, though, to log on this morning and see thumbnails in my messages; I did a double take.

In any case, I'm back in Tonawanda, for good or for bad. School starts again Monday, which kinda sucks, but I'll try to enjoy my two days off where I don't have to do stuff.

My Clubs

  • Mood: pleasantly surprised
  • Listening to: Dynamite Hackers - "Boys N the Hood"
  • Reading: The Cantos of Ezra Pound

Return Journey

Wed Feb 23, 2005, 8:10 AM
Just got back from Chicago - kinda.

Chicago was fun. The campus was just gorgeous, like a huge mediaeval manor plopped into the middle of the city. It turns out, however, that all gargoyles and such that had been hyped in every brochure that the university had sent to me were tiny and high in the sky. I took pictures as best as I could.

The Oriental Institute wasn't quite as impressive as I had hoped, either - it had more in the way of Mesopotamian artifacts than Egyptian, the latter being what I really wanted to see - but it was still nice. And photography was allowed, so I have pictures of that, too. I should be posting those earlier than the campus photos because I used my dad's digital camera instead of my crappy disposable Kodak. I also wrote a little. I don't know if I'll be posting that, though.

Right now I'm in Dayton for the next two days. Wish me luck: this is the worst part of the trip.
